Makenna is a vibrant 7-year-old with a huge personality. She endured cancer treatments for almost half of her life. She just recently learned to ride a bike as she spent so much time trying to simply get well. Learning to ride a bike is often one of our favorite childhood memories and our first taste of independence. Makenna’s challenge is for you to cycle 100 miles throughout September and ask family and friends to donate in support of your efforts. The ability we have to get outside and move is one that shouldn't be taken for granted.
Throughout Gus’s treatment, he lost his appetite and struggled with mouth sores. Many kids undergoing treatment experience challenges with their appetite or nutrition. Today, Gus's go-to food is cheese curls! This September, Gus wants to challenge you to a cheese curl eating contest. Take a video, post on social, tag others and ask them to make a donation to participate.
Cheyenne is a girl with a huge smile and a positive attitude. She loves to dance and play. When Cheyenne first showed symptoms, she had intense leg pain that limited her ability to be active. She spent a great deal of time resting and recovering from treatments. Cheyenne missed out on a lot of activities. She wants you to organize your friends for a game of freeze tag this September and ask them to donate to honor kids just like her.
William was a sweet boy with a calm demeanor and a contagious giggle. William was already a talented fisherman at just 12 years old with a bright future ahead of him as a competitive angler. While William's future was cut short, there is no doubt that he's left us all with the gift to find joy in the simple things.
