Our Inspiration
Everything we do is For The Kids® - for the kids who spent their childhood growing up in a hospital; for the kids who sacrificed their mobility or function to have a future; for the kids who lost their lives because the treatment was too harsh. We play to celebrate happiness, health and life. We play to honor the adversity each child has faced. We play so childhood is simply a time of exploration, growth, innocence and happiness.
Noah
Favorite activity: going to the playground
At just 2 1/2 years old, Noah was treated for what initially seemed like an ear infection. Within weeks, they discovered it was something much more serious. After blood work and a bone marrow biopsy, the results came back as a diagnosis of B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The journey has consisted of many ups and downs, but Penn State Health Children's Hospital and Four Diamonds has been there every step of the way. Noah has just one year left of treatment until he can ring the end of treatment bell! We play because toddlers should be exploring the world, not the inside of a hospital.
