Many kids undergoing treatment, just like Makenna, spend months in the hospital and are unable to enjoy being outdoors and moving their bodies. Check out the ideas below and commit to moving your body in some way in honor of those kids who can’t.

Pledge to achieve an active goal and ask for donations along the way: run/walk, swim 100 laps, bike 30 miles, or jump rope. Ask for $5 per mile/lap/etc.

Move your body every day for the entire month of September: take 10,000 steps a day, do 100 jumping jacks a day, or jump rope for 5 minutes every day. Share your progress on social media and ask for donations from family and friends.
